Liverpool have been linked with Javi Martinez.
Rafael Benitez apparently sees the Athletico Bilbao midfielder as Xabi Alonso's long-term replacement.The Reds have watched the Spanish under 21's international all season and could make a bid this Summer.
Athletico Bilbao will want around £10m for the player.
"Any player would want to be part of such a good squad," said Martinez when asked about Liverpool's interest.
